Google’s highly-awaited Motorola-built flagship ‘Nexus 6’ has finally been allotted a UK release date – December 1.
Unveiled last month and releasing on December 1 in Midnight Blue and White color variants, Nexus 6 is currently up for pre-orders with some of the leading UK retailers including Carphone Warehouse, Amazon UK, AT&T, MobiCity and Unlocked Mobiles.
Nexus 6 reportedly went out of stock on Google’s official Play Store just hours after it was made available for pre-order in the UK on Tuesday. According to the website, the 32GB blue version of the Nexus 6, which costs £499, is no longer available.
“We are out of inventory. Please check back soon,” the product pre-order page reads. All other models including the 64GB blue version and both 32GB and 64GB versions of the white model are showing “coming soon” tag.
Powered by a 2.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor and an Adreno 420 GPU, Nexus 6 features a 5.96 inch QHD display with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels that translates into a 493 pixels-per-inch (ppi) coupled with 3GB of RAM.
The handset packs a 13-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilisation and 2-megapixel front snapper. It also boasts “Turbo Charger” Qi charging feature which allegedly provides users with six hours of battery juice with just 15-minute charge.
The Nexus 6 is the first device to come sporting Android 5.0 Lollipop direct from the box. The handset is available in 32GB and 64GB variants for £499 and £549 respectively.
