Everything Everywhere (EE) has rolled out its second in-car 4G dongle dubbed ‘the EE Buzzard 2’, a device that create’s an in-car 4G Wi-Fi hotspot for drivers.
The Buzzard 2 can be plugged in directly into the car’s 12 volt dashboard socket, without the need for an adaptor, to provide Wi-Fi based on 4G and 3G connectivity. The device supports an additional USB socket to enable devices to be charged during a journey, without affecting the 4G WiFi performance. It also features an intuitive lighting system to alert the user when the device is switched on and connected to 4G.
The 4G car dongle has been designed to cater the Wi-Fi needs of up to 10 devices and is available on a variety of EE pay monthly and pay as you go tariff plans.

Christopher Traggio, director of PAYG & connected products at EE, said that high-speed internet connectivity has “become second nature for many families – both inside the home and on the move – so it can come as shock on car journeys when the children can’t access their favourite games or TV to entertain themselves.”
“Buzzard 2 creates a powerful 4G Wi-Fi connection without battery drain – providing a great solution for passengers young and old, so they can check their newsfeeds, stream music, play online games or catch-up on TV in the car,” Traggio added.
