Lenovo has unveiled its latest smartphone dubbed Sisley S90 in China for CNY 1,999 (~ £210) and from the looks of it, the smartphone is a blatant iPhone 6 rip-off
The Sisley S90 is a dual-SIM smartphone featuring 5-inch Super AMOLED HD display, Android 4.4.4 KitKat, 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 processor, 1GB RAM, 13-megapixel rear camera, 8.0-megapixel front camera, 16GB internal storage, 2,300 mAh battery among other things.
The primary reason why one would call the Sisley S90 a copy of the latest iPhone is that it measures 6.9mm thick and weighs 129g – the same as new iPhone 6.
Beyond the image [shown above] and 9 others found on Weibo, Lenovo’s entire marketing and advertising campaign is a carbon copy of that of Apple’s.
In between all these similarities, there are a few noticeable differences as well. For example, the design of earpiece and camera and the lack of home button in favour of the typical Android controls.
Just for sake of benefit of doubt to Lenovo we may say that the design of Sisley S90 coincidentally matches that of iPhone 6, but if you look at the rear of the former, the ‘coincidence’ aspect vanishes off completely.
