Gmail for Android 5.0 apk has arrived for those who can’t wait for Google’s official ‘update available’ notification. The updated app features flatter design elements, colors and animations, and support for exchange accounts and support for multiple inboxes among other set of updates.
The new version of Gmail for Android was teased earlier in a video which detailed quite a few of the official features that have been incorporated by Google. The video showed how users can access other email accounts like Yahoo or Outlook, without leaving the app.
Beyond the interface update, Google has incorporated support for including support for exchange and support third party email service accounts including Outlook and Yahoo Mail.
Google hasn’t revealed whether its planning to incorporate support for exchange or Google Apps accounts just yet in its Inbox by Gmail.
