Pangu Team has released its latest version of iOS 8, iOS 8.1 jailbreak, which will work on iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and even the latest iPads including iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3. The best bit of the jailbreak is that it integrates latest version of Cydia compatible with iOS 8.
The jailbreak team revealed in its Reddit post that the latest version of the jailbreak has been optimised, improves success rate, brings support for English language and fixes Safari error on 64bit device among other features.
Those who have already applied the previous version of the jailbreak need not reapply the jailbreak. “If u already jailbroke with v1.0 and installed Cydia. Just recommend to update Cydia and Pangu untether inside Cydia. No need to rejailbreak” notes The Pangu team in one of its tweets.
The team is yet to release a Mac version of its iOS 8 jailbreaking app, but the team has assured that it will be releasing one soon.
Those who are looking to apply the jailbreak need to be reminded that if they apply the iOS 8 jailbreak, they will loose their device’s warranty. If you do wish to proceed bypassing the warranty warning, we would remind you that you need to make sure of the following things before you apply the jailbreak:
- Backup your device before jailbreaking to ensure that none of your data is lost.
- Disable Find my iPhone and passcode completely.
- You have the latest version of iTunes installed on your computer.
