A new interactive trailer for ‘Assassin’s Creed Unity’ featuring over 1,400 user-designed Assassins has been released by Ubisoft.
The trailer shows the assassins tearing it up in the streets of Paris, plus 15 “secrets” have been included in the trailer, allowing access to exclusive footage and content upon discovery.
“Over several months, the community created and voted for their favourite Assassins that would feature in the trailer. Over 200,000 Assassins were designed, with the top 1,400 making the cut”, said Ubisoft in a press release.
The trailer can be paused at any moment by moving the cursor on the video, the community can then zoom in on any Assassin and clicking on highlights will reveal embedded images, videos, and messages, as well as specific Assassins and information about who created them. At the end of the trailer is a “gigapan” that includes every single Assassin in the trailer.
“The Assassin’s Creed universe lives through its fans’, and this trailer is an amazing opportunity for them to be part of the campaign. They can see their own Assassin running through the streets, breaking into buildings and parkouring on Paris’ rooftops” said Guillaume Carmona, Marketing Director at Ubisoft EMEA. “We wanted to take the interactive and social aspect of gaming to the next level.”
It’s worth mentioning that this game is the seventh major instalment in the Assassin’s Creed series and the successor to 2013’s Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. Assassin’s Creed Unity will be released in the UK on November 14th.
