A top manufacturer of integrated security and automation products, HAI, is a ‘Gold Key’ sponsor of the Louisiana State University “LaHouse” – in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
The LaHouse, (Louisiana House) is a family style house intended to show innovations in house building for Louisiana’s sub-tropical climate, allowing the general public a chance to learn about recent technological advances in the industry.
HAI, being selected to be the sole partner for home control, provided the OmniPro II Home automation system, programmable/communicating thermostats (Omnistat2) and HAI Lighting Control Systems with smart switches, and also OmniTouch touchscreen controlled lights, temperatures and security.
As well as all this, the LAHouse has audio (HiFi) systems with HAI Multi Room Audio, to enable music and entertainment throughout the home.
The Diector of Business Development at HAI, Thomas Pickral Junior, said:
“HAI is always looking for ways to work with educational institutions that are helping to get the message out about how technology can make your home more energy efficient and the LaHouse is an excellent partner to work with in this endeavor. The LaHouse is a rare opportunity for the building industry and the public to see technology that is available today to make their home more sustainable. We are very proud to work with the LSU AgCenter on this project.”
The LAHouse is open to the public from 10am to 7pm on Weds, 10am to 4pm Thurs to Fri, as well as from 9am to 2pm on Saturdays.
The house also contains a hi-tech teaching facility.
Both HAI, and CWS (5 star HAI Dealer located within the Baton Rouge area) worked together as Gold Key Sponsors of the house.
