Recently announced stats suggest that Apple has sold around 21 million iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus units in just the launch month.
Although the Cupertino hasn’t yet provided any sale breakdown figure of the 2 iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus models, numerous reports have confirmed that the latter sold out rather quickly.
Statistics released by Fiksu claim that iPhone 6 accounted for 1.82 percent of all iPhones tracked, while the Plus accounted for 0.28 percent. The stats reveal a ratio of 6.5:1 and imply that roughly 8.7 million of the total, were iPhone 6.
According to data from Mixpanel, the iPhone 6 accounted for almost 80 percent of all iPhone sales in the last week with iPhone 6 making up for 5.86 percent of all iOS powered handsets that it tracked, as against 1.28 percent for the iPhone 6 Plus. The iPhone 6 accounted for 3.22 percent of active iPhones with the iPhone 6 Plus responsible for 0.47 percent.
Considering the opening weekend sales, change in numbers and the average increase in demand for the handsets, it is likely that Apple has sold more than 21 million units.
With a whopping opening weekend for the iPhone 6 devices, with over 10 million units sold in just three days, Apple’s rumoured goal of selling 70 to 80 million iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus units between launch and the start of 2015 is likely heading towards reality.
