In what is thought to be a rebuttal, Eric Shmidt, Executive Chairman at Google said that Google’s systems are far more secure than those of Apple and that Tim Cook is a misinformed person as far as Google’s policies go.
The Executive Chairman was quoted as saying, “Someone didn’t brief him correctly on Google’s policy, that’s unfortunate for him,” and added, “In Google’s place we have always been the leader in security and in encryption. Our systems are far more secure and encrypted than anyone else, including Apple. They’re catching up, which is great.”
Schmidt also said that Gmail has been serving ad displays ads as ever before but it did not use user information it harvests. However, he refrained from adding more information or elaborating on this.
The executive chairman flatly denied reports that said it was working with NSA and even emphasised that the two have never even talked over sharing user data.
Speaking about the security aspect at Google, Schmidt said that their systems are far more secure and encrypted than anyone else including that of Apple’s. He admitted that Apple’s iPhone 6 sales are catching up with Android, which he said was great.
Oh yes. That is why Android have far more viruses and play your store is full of malware. Good show Mr. Schmidt.
I’ve never had a virus. And if you read reviews on apps and download the ones with good ratings, you wont have an issue. The difference is people have a choice on how secure they want their device to be. Google’s security has way more settings. Just like a computer you can be super secure or not secure at all its your choice.
