HP has updated its Stream line up of devices to include 2 new affordable tablets and 2 new laptops.
The 11.6-inch and 13.3-inch HP Stream notebooks will feature HD displays along with Intel Celeron processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of flash memory storage, with an optional touchscreen on the 13-inch model.
Both the new models will come with 1TB of online storage via Microsoft OneDrive for a year and a one year subscription to Office 365, plus a Windows app store gift card worth $25. The 13.3-inch HP Stream will also include an optional 200MB of free 4G data each month from T-Mobile.
As claimed by HP, the 11.6-inch model promises a battery life of 8 hours 15 minutes for HD Video playback, while the 13.3-inch Stream laptop will offer about 7 hours 45 minutes battery life.
Available in Orchid Magenta and Horizon Blue colour options, the two new HP Stream 11.6 and the HP Stream 13.3 laptops are expected to ship this November for $199 and $229 respectively.
HP, in addition to the affordable notebook duo, also launched two new low-cost Windows tablets. Both the Intel-based HP Stream 7 and HP Stream 8 tablets are Windows 8.1 based devices featuring Intel Atom Z3735G processors, 1,280 x 800 pixel displays with wide viewing angles, 1GB of RAM, and 16GB of solid state storage.
The tablets will be offered with one year of Microsoft Office 365 as well as 60 minutes of Skype each month and 1TB of Microsoft OneDrive storage for one year. The new 8-inch tablet also includes 200MB of free LTE data each month with no contract for the life of the device. The tablets are expected to hit the market shelves in November for $99.99 and $149.99 respectively.
