Virgin Media Business has announced a slew of new broadband packages dedicated to small and medium-sized UK firms.
The new broadband packages available immediately include Red Value, aimed at ‘digitally aware’ companies, Red Speed for the ‘digitally enabled’ and Red Performance for businesses that are ‘digitally dependent’.
Available for £50 per month, the entry-level package dubbed Red Value offers broadband speed of 50Mbps with unlimited calls and internet use allowance including a free two-month offer. The package also includes a free Super Hub router, a static IP on request and 24-hour UK support.
The Red Speed package, priced at £60 per month, offers download speed of up to 152Mbps, unlimited call and internet usage, as well as a Hub 2AC and a free two-month offer. Both of these packages also come with a £50 installation fee.
Finally the top-tier Red Performance Bundle offers a 30-100Mbps connection via managed internet access with the same upstream and downstream dedicated speed and capacity, a 6-hour repair service level agreement (SLA), unlimited calls and internet use, and free installation for prices starting at £500 per month.
Announcing the new packages, Virgin Media Business Director Mike Smith said SMEs should be regarded as the fuel of the UK economy and that industry and the government needs to explore ways to provide more support for this sector.
“We are launching new packages for SMEs that are simple, clear and provide much-needed flexibility as businesses grow,” Smith stated. “Not only that, we can now offer one of the fastest available broadband packages for businesses with Red Speed.”
He claimed that UK’s businesses will grow faster with simpler products, better skills and backing from the top. The growth will be good for the whole economy, noted Smith.
