Designer Google Glass edition is now available for purchase in the UK exclusively from online luxury fashion retailers Net-A-Porter and Mr Porter.
Designed by Diane von Furstenberg (DVF), the Google eyewear frames have been released in Shiny Elderberry, Shiny Lagoon, Matte Java, Matte Ice and Shiny Ink pastel colours.
The online fashion retailer said that it will be stocking 5 models of the Diane von Furstenberg collection of glasses, called DVF Made for Glass, priced at £1,250, with both optical and sunglass lens options including a mono earbud and case for women.
Meanwhile, Mr Porter is offering 3 frames from the Google Glass Titanium Collection. Each package from the Titanium collection, priced at £1,120, includes Glass, a pair of titanium optical frames and a UV lens clip.
Alison Loehnis, president of Net-A-Porter said the retailer is excited to be the “the only third-party retailer to bring Google Glass to UK customers,” adding that the glasses are the perfect balance of technology and fashion, which is claimed to be the heart of everything they do. “Our tech-savvy women want things first, they embrace newness across all categories,” Loehnis said.
The Net-a-Porter and Mr Porter Google Glass editions will remain to be a part of the product’s Explorer programme as its prototype phase continues.
