Microsoft on Tuesday launched a new line up of accessories which include a new wired Xbox One controller for Windows, a portable Bluetooth keyboard, an arc touch Bluetooth mouse and a wireless mobile mouse.
Touted to be the Microsoft’s best PC controller ever, the new wired Xbox One controller comes with a long detachable USB cable that can be used to connect to a PC or tablet.
The new controller boasts the same design, functionality as the one that ships with Xbox One. Users can even use the same controller to connect wirelessly to Xbox One by detaching the cable from the controller. However, it cannot be used wirelessly with Windows.
Compatible with Windows 7 and Windows 8, the new Xbox One controller requires a Pentium 300MHz or higher processor, 128MB of RAM, and 150MB of hard disk space. The new gaming peripheral will be available for sale in November starting at £35 ($59.95).
Next on the list comes the Universal Mobile Keyboard that works well with iPads, iPhones, Android devices and Windows tablets that are 10mm or thinner. The new portable keyboard can be paired with up to three devices running different operating systems, although it only works with one device at a time. The keyboard also features an operating system switch that lets users switch between devices easily.
There’s also a rechargeable battery that is said to last up to 6 months of usage on a single charge, and comes with Bluetooth support. The £47 ($80) keyboard is slated to release coming October.
Microsoft is also offering two new mice. One is the Bluetooth 4.0 Low-Energy version of the Arc Touch Mouse, which is compatible with Windows 8, 8.1 and Windows RT devices. The new mouse will be available in September for £43 ($69.95).
The second one is the new textured Wireless Mobile Mouse 3500 Limited Edition mouse compatible with Windows XP (32-bit only), Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows RT and Mac OS X devices. Available in three bold patterns, the mouse will cost $29.95 when it ships in September.
