Launched on September 9th, Destiny has become the biggest new intellectual property launch so far in the UK overtaking Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs.
Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs, which held the past record of the highest number of sales, has now been leapfrogged by Destiny with an even higher number of buyers – exact sales figures in the UK haven’t been disclosed though.

Looking at the platform-wise share, PlayStation 4 buyers account for 46 per cent of total sales while Xbox One users 36 per cent, and Xbox 360 users 14 per cent. The game was also bought by 4 per cent of PlayStation 3 users.
The net percent of Xbox and PlayStation version purchases amount to 50 each.
Looking back and considering all big game launches, Destiny takes the 17th position in the list sharing space with other titles including FIFA 14, Call of Duty, Grand Theft Auto series and Battlefield.
Considering 2014 launches, Watch Dogs gets the second place next to Destiny followed by Titanfall, Wolfenstein: The New Order and Infamous: Second Son. However, the Watch Dogs has moved to the third place in terms of total sales this week while The Sims 4 has gotten the second place on the list.
Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution gets the tenth place and it’s the first time it has ever made it to the list of top ten games being bought.
The other game titles that have made it to the list of top 10 games that with highest sales figures include Call of Duty: Ghosts, The Last of Us: Remastered, Minecraft, NHL 15, and more. Activision announced last week that it has shipped $500 million worth of Destiny games to shops across the globe.
