Google Chromecast has been heavily discounted in the UK and is now available for just £18 – a 40 per cent discount on the launch price.
Launched in March this year, Google Chromecast was priced £30 a piece, but retailers including Tesco, Amazon, Currys are all offering the streaming dongle for just £18 on their respective sites. If you walk into a Currys store you will have to pay £2 more than the online price.
So, if you have been still mulling over whether to or not to buy the streaming dongle from Google, we say now is the time to get yourself one as we don’t see Chromecast going any cheaper than this. £12 is a huge discount on such a fab gadget and we say it’s a whole lot worth more than £18.
Also, there is no suggestion that the price cut is a permanent one as it is still being sold at £30 on Google Play store.
