Video game maker, Blizzard has announced World of Warcraft subscription prices in the UK will increase upon release of Warlords of Draenor expansion on November 13.
“We regularly look at our pricing around the world and from time to time we make changes in light of local and regional market conditions,” the post on the Battle.net forum reads.
“As such, we want to give everyone a heads-up that we will shortly be adjusting the pound sterling subscription price of World of Warcraft.”

With effect from November 13, retail pricing of the subscription will rise to £9.99 from £8.99 for 30 days, from £25.17 to £28.17 for three months, from £46.14 to £52.14 from six months, while the suggested RRP for a two-month pre-paid game card will now be £20.99.
Blizzard also said World of Warcraft subscribers, who have recurring subscriptions at the time of change, will be able to retain their current subscription price for the next two years, as long as their subscription gets lapsed.

This offer even extends to players who sign up for the auto-renewing subscriptions before the price change comes into effect.
Blizzard noted that it will send price hike reminders to WoW players two months before the price increase, so that they’ll have time to choose their plan accordingly.
