O2 UK confirmed late last week that Windows Phone 8.1 will be rolling out on the remaining Lumia devices over the weekend and if you haven’t already checked for the update, we recommend you do it right now.
“It’s closer now more than ever!” said O2 Social Media team in a community post. “We’re extremely, insanely, massively, immensely hopeful that the 8.1 update will roll out to the rest of the Lumia devices before this weekend. Given there’s not many weekdays left this week… It’ll be pretty soon.”
O2 also confirmed that visual voicemail update for Nokia Lumia 630, 635 and 930 will be rolling out soon as well.
Those who have managed to update their phones to Windows Phone 8.1 should start checking for Windows Phone 8.1 update 1 as that is one update everyone is talking about because of Cortana, Live Folders, SMS Merge and forward, among other features.
Users on Three and Everything Everywhere will still have to wait a little longer, we assume, considering that both the carriers are still testing out the Cyan update.
