Google’s next Nexus device may be just around the corner and with more and more leaks flowing in we are inclined to say that it will be the Nexus 5 running Android 4.4 KitKat.
In a fresh set of leaks, we have come across a screenshot of alleged Nexus 5 running Android 4.4 KitKat which shows white and grey status bar icons. The icons are somewhat identical to the Korean Google Keyboard, which was leaked sometime last week. The white colored indicator shaped Wi-Fi icon has been slightly tweaked and an Android Debug icon with a piece of pie with antennae is clearly visible in the screenshot.
Why Android 4.4 still has the Key Lime Pie icon is not yet known? Chances are the team hasn’t bothered to change the icon there.
The screenshot is of an either an updated or internal Google Authenticator. Further there are two with a tiny Bluetooth icon overlapping them – probably a new way of representing Google’s stance of password-free authentication.
Going through the log file accompanying the screenshot, we can see that the device has a high resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 matching the previous rumors indicating the PPI to be around 443 with a 4.96? screen. The log files also indicate that Nexus 5 will support wireless charging.
The build number being shown is Key Lime Pie KRS74H indicating that it was built over two weeks back on September 13. The upcoming Nexus 5 will apparently run on Linux Kernel version 3.4.0.
