A leaked image of what looks like a screenshot of the description of the Windows 8.1 update 2 has given a bit of information about what the update has in store for us.
The PCPortal has revealed that the update will arrive as a part of Patch Tuesday on August 12. It looks like no major feature changes or additions are included in the update and it only brings a bunch of tweaks, bug fixes and changes under the hood, which will be hardly noticeable.
Several users are expecting the Start Button, a favourite part of the Windows OS to land on their devices with this update. However, it seems that Microsoft wants users to wait until Threshold.
Threshold is due in 2015 and there are leaks and rumours already surfacing about it. The team is done with Windows 8.1 and the August update is said to be the last update as the developers will be focusing on Threshold.
The company is yet to share an official word on Threshold and is expected to give out some information later this year. Some sources have expressed hopes in being able to see a preview of Threshold sometime later in 2014.
