Land Rover has revealed a series of upgrades for its Range Rover and Range Rover Sport models including new infotainment system, cosmetic revisions, and upgraded diesel engine that would keep the cars going sharp into 2015.
Starting today, Range Rover and Range Rover Sport will feature Land Rover’s new InControl infotainment system. Users can connect up to eight devices using the in-car Wi-Fi. The system also has the ability to display the screen of your smartphone on the infotainment’s screen.
Further, InControl also has the ability to track the car in case its stolen and can also place SOS calls in case there is an accident.
Two new colors Aruba Silver and Kaijoura Stone have been included under cosmetic updates. Both models gets the 19-inch alloys with the Satin Grey finish, while the long wheelbase Range Rover gets optional 22-inch alloy wheels.
Both the cars will be powered by the Land Rover’s new 4.4 litre SDV8 diesel engine which gives an additional torque of 40Nm so that it can generates 224bhp and 740Nm of power with the revised eight speed automatic gearbox.
From August the long-wheelbase Range Rover will be available in Autobiography Black trim. The car is blessed with the unique alloy wheels (in 21 and 22-inch forms), LED rear lights, redesigned seats, and switchable mood lighting.
The executive package adds fully adjustable seats, a redesigned extended centre console, electrically deployed leather tables, USB sockets, extra storage and bespoke lighting.
