Samsung is yet to officially declare the launch date of Galaxy S5 Mini, but new reports peg a worldwide mid-July launch of the smartphone.
According to SamMobile, the piece of information it received isn’t a concrete one but, the mid-July launch rumour sits perfectly well with Galaxy S4 Mini July launch last year.
Unlike the Galaxy S4 Mini, the S5 Mini isn’t going to be some mediocre piece of gadgetry, but instead will pack some of the features of its big brother including fingerprint scanner, heart rate monitor and water, dust resistance.
Apart of these features, the Galaxy S5 Mini is to pack a 4.5-inch 720p display, 1.4GHz Samsung Exynos 3 Quad SoC, 1.5GB RAM, 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2.1-megapixel front snapper. Some of the connectivity options include LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, NFC, and GPS.
The Galaxy S5 Mini is said to run Android 4.4.2 KitKat out of the box and will have Samsung’s latest TouchWiz UX on top.
SamMobile is quick to note that the piece of information about mid-July launch isn’t a concrete one, so we would recommend our readers to take this one with a grain of salt as well.
