Unveiled first at the Consumers Electronics Show (CES) 2014, Xolo’s maiden Windows 8.1-enabled tablet dubbed ‘the Xolo Win’ is now available in India.
The Xolo Win tablet, priced at Rs. 19, 990, will be exclusively available for sale on one of the India’s popular e-commerce retailer website, Flipkart.
Flipkart confirmed the tablet’s Wednesday launch on its Facebook page which read, “The Xolo Win Tablet launches tomorrow [Wednesday] with exciting launch offers!”
In an attempt to lure customers, the e-commerce giant has also announced some interesting launch day offers which include offering buyers a chance to win Rs 1,000 cashback, 5 percent discount on next purchase of Bluetooth keyboard and INR 1,500 worth of pre-selected eBooks.
There is also a special exchange offer that will allow users to get up to Rs 5,000 off on older smartphones, tablets and even laptops which can be used against the purchase of the new Xolo Win.
Powered by a dual-core AMD A4 Elite Mobility processor (Temash generation) clocked at 1.0 GHz alongside Radeon HD 8180 GPU and 2GB RAM, the Xolo Win comes with a 10.1-inch display sporting a resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels. There’s 32GB (MMC) inbuilt storage expandable further via microSd card slot.
The tablet comes with a 2-megapixel rear camera, a 1-megapixel HD front-facing camera and claims a rated battery life of up to 6 hours. On the connectivity side, the Xolo Win supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, HDMI Port and USB port but unfortunately lacks 3G connectivity support.
The Windows 8.1 tablet will be preloaded with Microsoft Office and other signature experiences from Microsoft like Skype, OneDrive, and Bing. The tablet measures 266 x 167.8 x 12mm and weighs 750 grams.
