Allegedly slated for an autumn launch Apple’s next flagship smartphone iPhone 6 is said to finally feature NFC connectivity and an improved 4G antenna.
Sources familiar with the device in the making have revealed that iPhone 6 will include NFC to make mobile payments. It is also said that Apple could partner with Isis jointly owned by T-Mobile and AT&T whereas some other sources say that Apple might come up with its own mobile payment systems challenging Google Wallet and Isis.
There have been leaks showing off cases for iPhone 4S and iPhone 4 that add NFC support and keeping that in mind, chances are that Apple could add NFC to iPhone 6.
It is also said that iPhone 6 will have faster data connectivity. Currently, all devices in the iPhone 5 range support 4G LTE with a speed of 150 Mbps and iPhone 6 is expected to offer support for category 6 LTE and speeds up to 300 Mbps.
As for wireless charging, it is said that Apple will pack a surface under the hood which will connect to an inductive charger to transport energy. However, there is no word about the standard Apple is planning to use.
One of the iPhone 6 is said to pack a 4.7-inch screen with thinner bezels. It will also come with a scratch resistant screen, probably sapphire glass, judging from the information from sources.
The resolution could be as high as 960 X 1,704. Given that, the aspect ratio is not likely to change from the current 16:9, resulting in a pixel density of 416ppi.
