There are many different sources for speculation as to new product releases from Apple. As the company has very strict policies in place to stop leaks of, or in fact in revealing any facts relating to products that are currently being worked on, the only source of news is just that, speculation. Everyone has something to say on the matter it seems!
Consumer bloggers endlessly type what they would like to see in a new Apple product. Industry bloggers scour the net for leaked images or any snippets of information that they can work up into a story about a new product. Are there any reliable sources of information out there that could help in predicting what will be the next move by Apple with the iPhone range?
Well there are some it would seem. Apple, like any manufacturer, has to order products and components for new devices. These components could be, new screens, new processors or in fact just a new third party manufactured case in a new size. Any one of which could signal a new device. It is the analysts that have access to this information who have the best chance of uncovering the truth.
The latest information from such analysts points towards an update to the current iPhone 5 to the iPhone 5s (inline with previous updates to the range), in September as well as a new, low cost, iPhone. This information is based on inventory channel checks of the manufacturers that Apple uses. The figures suggest that Apple will produce 15 million of each of each of these new devices and that they will be available to buy, sometime in the fall.
As ever all this speculation is just that, but there maybe some truth in numbers.
