PlayStation Now private beta invites rolling out
Sony has seemingly started sending out PlayStation Now private beta invites to users in the United States.
According to screenshot of the alleged private beta invite on NeoGaf, the invitee “will receive exclusive access to test PlayStation’s game streaming service before its full launch and the opportunity to provide your regular feedback to the PlayStation Now team.”
There is no word on how the users have been selected for the private beta, but it seems that the selection could have been through a draw from all those signed up for more information on PlayStation Now.
Once the invitee accepts the invitation they will receive a Beta voucher through another email and instructions on how to redeem it. This means that PlayStation Now private beta isn’t live yet and all those who have been invited will have to wait a few more days before they will be try it out.
Sony also lists a few recommendations for ‘best experience’ including a connected PlayStation 3 gaming console with wired Internet and at least 5Mbps bandwidth.
Sony hasn’t mentioned PlayStation 4 and has seemingly left out the latest generation gaming console for now. This wasn’t completely unexpected as the company has reportedly different plans as far as PS4 is concerned and how it will enable its users to play PS1 and PS2 titles on its latest gaming console.
