A lot has been going on in the jailbreak scene lately with evad3rs launching an untethered jailbreak that works on all iOS 7 versions and now there are reports that an untethered jailbreak for iOS 6.1.3 and 6.1.4 is nearly ready and could be released as early as next week.
iOS hacker iH8sn0w has been working with Winocm to release a jailbreak tool for the two most recent version of iOS 6.1.3 and 6.1.4. The hacker revealed that a lot of progress has been made and that they will be releasing a Mac version of the jailbreak tool first.
“Lots of work done today. Judging by things, it will initially be a Mac-only release. Windows will be pushed days later.” iH8sn0w tweeted.
The hacker has already posted a teaser video [below] of a jailbroken iPod 5 Touch running Cydia. If the claims are indeed true, iOS 6 users who didn’t migrate to iOS 7 and were stuck with a non-jailbroken device will be able to jailbreak their A5+ devices soon.
