Leaked pictures of LG’s yet-to-be-released G4 smartphone has appeared online weeks before its official April 28 launch.

Reliable leaker Evan Blass (@evleaks on Twitter) located a microsite set up for the LG G4 via the source code on LG’s own webpage and got hold of a dozens of pictures of the upcoming phone showcasing features as well as descriptions of what to expect. The microsite was taken down soon after the leak surfaced.

As per the leaked pictures, the LG G4 is 8.9mm thick and measures 149.1×75.3×8.9mm. The back of the phone is removable, as is the 3,000mAh battery. The handset is shown featuring a 5.5-inch QHD IPS Quantum Display, a micro SD slot, a 16-megapixel camera with f/1.8 aperture with laser autofocus, an infrared color spectrum analyser for accurate colors and a full manual shooting mode.

The images reveal that the LG G4 will feature a ‘Genuine Leather’ rear panel for premium variants in six color options including Black, Brown, Maroon, Blue, Gold, and Yellow. The handset will also arrive featuring a plastic rear panel with ‘textural hammered-array pattern’ in three colors – White, Black and Gold.

LG’s optional Quick Circle cover, that offers a window into the screen, also appears to be making an appearance with the G4.

Surprisingly, the software version listed on the briefly leaked site is Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS. It is expected that the version might get updated to Android 5.0 Lollipop by the time it hits the market shelves.
