Google in a bid to clean up the existing design of Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drawings, Forms, and Apps Script has announced a revamp of Google Docs and its components stating that “things are about to get cleaner—and more colorful.”
Google Docs will now come with a slightly different yet attractive interface. Each editor product’s icon will be displayed in the web app’s header section, which in itself will act as a link to a user’s Google Drive. In addition the header within each of the products have been made more compact and more streamlined, which Google hopes will help the users to focus more on their content.
The changes are not visually dramatic, but they do give a cleaner look while offering convenient access to document editing features.
“We hope these updates make your creation and collaboration experience just a bit more delightful. Enjoy!” notes Sarah Cooper, User Experience Designer at Google in a blog post.
