GAME, one of UK’s games retailer, has announced opening of a dedicated pre-owned store in Lincoln on Friday which specialises in pre-owned gadgets like MP3 players, tablets, TVs, satnavs, smartphones and second-hand games as well.
As part of the renovation scheme, the pre-existing GAME store has been revamped into a dedicated pre-owned store and has been named as Gametronics. The retailer is planning to open up another outlet at Cambridge soon. The company confirmed that it will be mainly be targeting UK cities which have two or more GAME stores.
The company said that its main motive behind this initiative is to make its GAME store a better avenue for trading-in products, to make it more affordable for gamers to upgrade to next-gen consoles and other latest technology products.
Gamers who trade-in any games or gadgets at Gametronics can use their credit at all GAME stores and for those who don’t cash purchase option is also available. All products available at Gametronics will come with a one year warranty. Other stores located in Lincoln will continue to trade as normal.
The company plans to roll out more of such revamped stores around the country, if the Gametronics stores are a success.
