LG is not going to bother with updating its smartphones and tablets to Android 4.2 and Android 4.3, but will jump straight to Android 4.4 KitKat, a new leak has claimed.
According to PhoneArena, LG will be releasing Android 4.4 KitKat updates for Optimus F3, Optimus F6, Optimus F7, G Pad 8.3, G Pro Lite, Optimus L9 II, LG Optimus Vu II and LG Vu III. According to the tech site’s tipster, LG isn’t bothering the Android 4.3 at all.
If the information is true, it means that LG is working hard to bring all its devices to Android’s latest version and could very well be the first company to do so.
The tipster hasn’t revealed any information about the possible release dates of the Android 4.4 KitKat update for aforementioned devices, but it should be safe to assume that the updates for the devices will land sometime in second quarter of 2014.
