Linus Torvalds is back to his Sunday release cycle and has announced the release of Linux 3.13-rc4 revealing that he isn’t happy with the latest RC.
Linux 3.13-rc4 packs networking, GPU, USB, input and media driver updates alongside the usual architecture updates pertaining to ARM and SELINUX.
“Things aren’t calming down the way they should be, and -rc4 is bigger than previous rc’s. And I don’t think I can just blame the two extra days”, wrote Torvalds in the release announcement.
Things were moving along quite well up until the week before last with the pull requests just about the way Torvalds would have liked. Torvalds warned that he will be “very grumpy” at anyone who sends out unnecessary changes and updates and said that he will be calling names if people send out anything other than a regression fix or something that is marked stable.
