HTC One 2, also known as HTC M8, has surfaced again after its brief appearance during Nokia and HTC lawsuit and this time it is because of the Wi-Fi certification, which the smartphone has achieved recently.
According to Wi-Fi certification document, the smartphone will be equipped with a Wi-Fi antenna that is capable of switching between two bands – 5GHz and 2.4GHz. According to the document, the HTC One 2 supports all variants of 802.11 standard including a, b, g, n and ac.
Previous rumours have pointed to a few specifications of the HTC M8 including a Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor clocked at 2.26GHz; Qualcomm Adreno 330 GPU; 2GB RAM; 5-inch screen with full HD 1,920 x 1,080 p resolution. There have been reports that the smartphone will also pack a 10-megapixel Ultrapixel camera on the rear and feature a full metal body just like its predecessor.
The existence of the HTC M8 or HTC One 2 was hinted at by UK High Court judge during a recent ruling in a patent infringement lawsuit involving HTC and Nokia.
