Supermarket chain Aldi has announced a budget-friendly tablet, Lifetab E7316, by teaming up with Medion and will be available starting December 8.
The £79.99 Lifetab doesn’t pack jaw-dropping specifications, but they definitely are tad higher than those found on other pocket-friendly tabs out there. The Lifetab is powered by a 1.6GHz quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB of internal memory expandable using a microSD card, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, USB host function, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity.
Some of the not so impressive specifications include battery life at 4 hours between recharges, 7-inch screen at 1024 x 600 pixel resolution, rear snapper at 2.0-megapixels and rear front camera at 0.3-megapixels.
The tablet supports Google Play and comes preloaded with several apps such as Drawing Pad, Softmaker and Kaspersky Tablet Security.
Aldi’s Lifetab may be in the shade when it comes to some specifications, but the supermarket chain has managed to undercut Argos’ £99 MyTablet and Tesco’s £119 Hudl.
