Nokia has finally unveiled its leaky and much rumoured Lumia 525 Windows Phone 8 smartphone through its website.
Powered by the dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor clocked at 1GHz, the Lumia 525 packs 1GB RAM, 8GB internal storage expandable to 64GB using a microSD card, 4-inch IPS-LCD display with 800×480 resolution, 5-megapixel rear camera and a 1430mAh battery. In terms of connectivity the Lumia 525 is equipped with Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, USB 2.0 and a 3.4mm audio connector. Users will have to use a Micro SIM.
The Lumia 525 is preloaded with Nokia latest Camera app that has a range of new options and an improved interface. The Windows Phone also comes with a rebranded Nokia MixRadio streaming music service, updated HERE maps suite with offline navigation and traffic warnings.
Nokia will start selling the handset in few countries in Africa, Middle East and Asia Pacific at an outlay similar to that of the Lumia 520.
