Samsung has officially launched its Galaxy Grand successor – the Galaxy Grand 2 – with specifications that can be compared to high-end smartphones out there.
The Galaxy Grand 2 features a bigger high-definition screen, faster processor and more RAM as compared to its predecessor. Grand 2 run Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and is powered by quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz. Samsung has blessed this smartphone with a 5.25-inch HD screen with a resolution of 720 x 1,280 pixels, internal storage of up to 8GB that is expandable to up to 64GB via microSD, and 1.5GB RAM.
The dual-SIM Grand 2 has 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera accompanied by an LED flash and a 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ AGPS, micro-USB and 3G (HSPA+) are some of the connectivity options on the Grand 2. The smartphone measures 146.8 x 75.3 x 8.9mm and weighs about 163 grams has a 2,600mAh battery and Samsung claims that it will offer up to 17 hours of talk time.
The Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 will come in Black, Pink and White color variants in select markets. Story Album which allows organizing pictures by timelines, S Translator- a translation service application, S Travel app offering guides and travel details, Sound & Shot, Samsung Hub, Samsung Link and Group Play which lets users play music or games together are some of the popular applications which will come preloaded with the new Galaxy Grand 2.
