Nokia Lumia 1520 has gone on sale in France and is slated for release in Russia, US, Hong Kong and Italy later this week, but there is officially no word about its availability in the UK.
Navigating to the Lumia 1520’s UK webpage doesn’t give any information and Nokia is just asking users to register their email addresses to receive updates about the smartphone. UK has been left behind in terms of availability as well as the official pricing.
The first phablet from Nokia will carry a price tag of $749 in the US for a SIM-free variant (approximately £464). Considering previous smartphone launches by Nokia and other vendors, the UK price will likely be a little higher and may cost somewhere around £500.
Some of the noteworthy features of the Nokia Lumia 1520 are 6-inch full HD 1080p display; quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.2 GHz; 2GB RAM; 32GB internal storage expandable to 64GB using MicroSD card; 4G connectivity; 20-megapixel rear camera; Windows Phone 8.1; and 7GB cloud storage from Microsoft among others.
The Lumia 1520 is definitely a worthy rival to Samsung’s Galaxy Note 3 and has been dubbed as one of the best phablets out there.
