EA claimed yesterday that PlayStation 4 day one patch is causing stability issues for all existing PS4 titles; however, latest retracted the statement claiming that the statement was ‘posted in error.’
EA posted the statement here, but it has now been removed. We have got excerpts of the statement where EA said that the update “all games on the PS4, including EA titles, causing crashing/freezing and non-responsive connections between the player’s console and their TV Screen.”
The gaming company revealed that the issue is with Sony’s firmware and an update will be required to resolve the issues. “Sony is working to resolve the issue as quickly as they can. They will update their System Update page as new versions are made available, and we will keep this page updated as we find out more.”
Sony neither acknowledged that there were issues with the update nor did it say that it was aware of any such reports. The day one patch brings with it many new features including Remote Play with PlayStation Vita; online multiplayer; party chat; ability to play games as they are downloaded among others.
The original post which contained the statements now reads “The message on EA’s Help site was posted in error. Players with questions about PS4 connectivity can visit [PlayStation Support] for the latest updates.”
Yesterday there were reports of PlayStation Network experiencing connectivity and network issues, which Sony has already acknowledged.
