Samsung is planning to pack 4GB RAM in its upcoming Galaxy S5 smartphone according to rumours swirling in its upstream supply chain in Korea.
Reports have already pegged a 64-bit Exynos processor for the Galaxy S5 after initial speculations that Samsung doesn’t have enough time to finish off development of its 64-bit processor in time for S5 launch. However, the latest reports from the Korean media indicate that the smartphone will indeed pack the 64-bit processor to rival iPhone 5S’ A7 processor.
Digital Times Korea is reporting that the Galaxy S5 will be huge upgrade over its predecessor and Note 3 and will pack 4GB RAM to supplement the enormous processing capabilities of the 64-bit Exynos processor. Despite the fact that iPhone 5S packs just 1GB of RAM, the A7 delivers amazing performance and considering that S5 may outperform the iPhone 5S if it indeed packs 4GB RAM.
It is also believed that the S5 will pack a 16-megapixel camera; an upgrade over 13-megapixel sensor on the Galaxy Note 3. It is also believed that Samsung will shed its plastic body with the S5 and will dawn it with a full metal body.
