Rockstar has released a new patch (v 1.0.3) that seems to fix money farming and XP exploits using which online players were making money and enhancing their characters.
Rockstar has released quite a few updates since the October 1 launch of GTA Online to resolve teething issues and bugs that have been wreaking havoc and leaving users frustrated to the extent that some have even dubbed GTA Online launch as the worst launch ever after a successful offline launch.
The latest update from Rockstar sizes up at 39MB for PS3 and 59MB for Xbox 360. Rockstar is yet to provide any information on the patch officially, but players have flocked the game maker’s online forums inquiring about the purpose of the patch. Some have reported that once the patch was applied, they are not able play the same missions again to farm money and XP, which they were able to before the patch.
Users have also reported that after the patch the money they earn by completing a mission is being reduced with every mission. Further the users who have been suffering from character, in-game money and item loses haven’t seen any improvement with the patch and none of their lost things have been recovered. Rockstar has detailed some tips to help users save their characters, items and game play progress.
If the patch wasn’t supposed to resolve this issue then Rockstar has definitely closed known and unknown loopholes which were being actively exploited by online players.
