Just a few days after getting their hands on the new iPhone 6 Plus released on September 19 this year, a small number of buyers of the larger iPhone 6 variant reported that the devices bend after being stored in a suit pocket for a few hours.
MacRumours noted that some of its forum members have posted pictures of the devices which look slightly bent. A particular user wrote that he spent an entire day doing activities like traveling, sitting and dancing and all the while the device was in the front pocket of his pants for almost 18 hours and most of the time he was sitting after which the display appeared slightly distorted and when placed on an even surface it became obvious that the phone was bent.
This is not the first time such a case is reported as previous models including iPhone 5 and 5S were also reported to be bending if pressured due to lack of proper storage. In addition, the iPhone 6 Plus is larger and thinner than any of the previous models giving it more flexibility.
Many have warned that the iPhone 6 Plus might become unusable if too much pressure is exerted on them due to improper storage. Users are generally advised to take out their devices from pockets while sitting or use a hard case which will prevent the phone from being pressurized.
