GTA online patch for PS3 is now live and a similar one will hit Xbox 360 soon Rockstar has confirmed through a newswire update.
Whether the update is a comprehensive one that addresses all the issues highlighted here or only addresses a few highlighted here is not known as Rockstar hasn’t provided any further detail in regards to the title update. Our bets are on the likelihood that the patch fixes the most common of errors faced by users on both platforms.
Rockstar has indicated that Xbox 360 players will have to wait a little longer before an update hits Xbox Live. But, the GTA Online maker has said that it is “working to have this up … as soon as possible today”.
Rockstar has already apologized for the botched GTA online release, but it had already warned users that the game servers will be temperamental for the first couple of weeks. It seems that one of the major issues that affect users on both platforms in GTA Online is a glitch in “first tutorial mission” which is preventing users to complete it. It is very likely that the title update on PS3 addresses that.
A couple of days back there were reports that users were finding it difficult to progress further even if they cleared the initial tutorial mission. At the time Rockstar had revealed that it was trying to identify the reasons behind the issue and “working to restore stability for users as soon as possible.”
In a bid to help gain control of the situation, Rockstar has “disabled the option of purchasable GTA$ cash packs” in GTA Online. However, those who are able to play properly can continue earning GTA$ through in-game jobs and other profitable game play activities.
