Nokia World event is just over two weeks away and yet another press render of the Lumia 1520 made it way on Twitter – thanks to evleaks.
Lumia 1520 is dubbed to be Nokia’s first phablet featuring a 6-inch full HD display. According to reports the Windows Phone 8 powered smartphone will be packing the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.3GHz. If this does turn out to be true, we will have at our hand the most powerful smartphone from Nokia till date bringing the Lumia lineup right there in line with the other powerful smartphone like LG G2, Sony Xperia Z Ultra and yet to be announced Google Nexus 5.
The picture of Lumia 1520 leaked by evleaks dawns a bright red casing giving an indication that Nokia is still very much into colourful smartphones and may not be inclined to adopt aluminum or other metal casing.
Some of the other rumoured features of the Lumia 1520 are 32 GB of built-in memory, 2 GB of RAM and a microSD card slot. It is also believed that Nokia will fit in a 20-megapixel PureView camera with Carl Zeiss lens.
Considering the high-end specifications, Nokia may attach Lumia 1520 with a similar price tag like other premium smartphones out there at $699 off-contract. According to other reports, the smartphone will be sold by AT&T starting November 8. It is also believed that Nokia has been working alongside Qualcomm to produce a new customized stack for the smartphone’s camera drivers.
It is also believed that Nokia will unveil a total of six different devices at the Nokia World event on October 22 alongside its first Windows RT tablet codenamed Sirius aka Lumia 2520.
