Days before the most anticipated September 9 event, the wraps around the much awaited Apple’s next generation iPhone 6 has been pulled down by the major carrier China Telecom, ahead of even the official launch.
An image from the Chinese shores, posted on the official Weibo account of China Telecom, has not just confirmed the upcoming launch of iPhone 6, but also certain rumours about the design of the flagship device. The promotional image posted accidentally, but long enough to lend weight to further rumours, has since been deleted.
According to the post, first spotted by Sina news, the new smartphone will be available as an unlocked device for LTE, WCDMA, CDMA2000, GSM, and CDMA1X networks. However, if the report is to be believed, this will be the first instance for China Telecom to sell unlocked iPhones.
The image showcased 3 units of iPhone 6 in 3 colours – silver, black and champagne colour, lined up, under the quote “iPhone 6. Even Better.” The rendering had clearly revealed the iPhone 6 to come with rounded edges similar to the iPod touch. The shape also falls in line with many of the previous rumours about the iPhone 6.
iPhone 6 also appears to be thinner in comparison to its predecessors, which is yet another point from the long list of rumours and speculations around the device.
Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 6 in 2 variants – 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch models, on September 9.
“a unknown”? LOL..enough of the fake.
