Nokia is reportedly going to stick with its Lumia branding for its upcoming Windows RT tablet claims Evleaks.
Through a recent tweet, evleaks has claimed that the Finnish smartphone giant is going to name its upcoming Windows RT tablet as Lumia 2520 rather than going with ‘Sirius’. Evleaks has been responsible for a number of accurate reports earlier and considering its track record, chances are that the rumour might just turn out to be true.
Recently a press-render of the Nokia’s Windows RT tablet found its way to the web and it was pictured alongside quite a few other Windows 8.1 tablets. Nokia is going to probably going to host a launch event next month – October 22 to be precise and it is believed that company will announce its next flagship Windows 8 Smartphone – Lumia 1520 on that day. If the above press render is actually of ‘Sirius’ chances are that the tablet may be launched alongside the smartphone.
The Lumia 2520 aka Sirius is going to be a 10.1-inch tablet powered by one of Qualcomm’s latest processors – probably the Snapdragon 800 and will feature a full HD 1080p display. Nokia is expected t price its first tablet at $499, but considering the recent price cuts announced by Microsoft for its Surface RT, the $499 price tag may be well over the ‘costly’ line.
Further, the Finnish company is also planning to launch a tablet keyboard equipped with battery, which will boost the battery of the Lumia 2520.
