Just a day after the Flappy Bird made headlines about its return, its creator Dong Nguyen, has teased a new game currently in development.
Nguyen took to his Twitter to show off a new game with an image which at first glance appears to be some kind of runner.
Nguyen tweeted “I am making a new game. So people can forget about Flappy Bird for a while.”
The image reveals small characters (human shaped figures with helmets) jumping through an opening that appears to be building. The new game is expected to be out soon and well before August.
There aren’t any other details on the game or a timeframe for release, except that the next game would involve players controlling a character jumping from one building to another.
The latest tweet by Nguyen about forgetting “Flappy Bird for a while” slightly contradicts to his announcement about the game.
CNBC reported on Wednesday that Flappy Bird, pulled from the iOS app store in February with the vow of never returning, is actually making its way back in August, and this time as a less addictive version with multiplayer features for the gamers to play in real time with others.
Back in February, Nguyen abruptly removed Flappy Bird from app stores as it had become too addictive and had a negative effect on his simple life. Flappy Bird, which topped the game charts, generated around $50,000 a day in revenue.
