Microsoft recently announced the August System Update for Xbox One adding 3D Blu-ray support, revamped activity feed, remote game downloads, among other things to the features list.
Announcing the August update in a blog post, Xbox blogger Major Nelson, said the new Xbox One system update will include improved social features to make sharing users’ gaming experiences with friends better and easier. The new features include some of the most requested features seen on Xbox Feedback, Nelson said. The update will be available to all Xbox One systems “over the next few days”.

With the latest software update, users will see their activity feed interface change to a single column scrolling list that is much longer and includes more content.
Users will now have the ability to post text to their feeds, and like and comment on feed items. They will now be able to share game clips “and anything else in the feed” with friends either publicly or privately. They will get notifications if anyone likes comments or shares their feed item.

One of the most requested features on Xbox Feedback making its way to the update feature list is Mobile Purchases. This feature will allow users to remotely purchase games and Add-on content using Xbox SmartGlass or on Xbox.com.
The console will begin downloading the purchase if the option to automatically take updates is enabled.
3D Blu-ray support is another significant feature to arrive on Xbox One. As part of the update friends List will now display the last time users’ mates were online.

Low battery notification and ability to turn off notifications during video playback are some other notable features.
