Within just days from the launch, FIFA 15 has successfully dethroned Destiny off the top spot to become the best selling UK game.
After being at the top for 2 consecutive weeks, Destiny has finally dropped to the second position with Disney Infinity 2.0 following in the third position. Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition and Call of Duty: Ghosts have managed to round up the top 5 of the UK gaming charts.
According to retail monitor Chart-Track, FIFA 15 accounted for 80 percent of all game sales last week, and 87 percent of all game software revenue. The gaming title was launched simultaneously on 8 gaming platforms on September 26. FIFA 15 debut week sales were up by 15 percent as compared to last year’s FIFA 14 release.
Chart-Track revealed that the PS4 version of the FIFA 15 accounted for 32 percent of total debut week sales, the PS3 one for 15 percent, the Xbox 360 edition for 30 percent and the Xbox One version for 22 percent. The remainder sales were made up by PC, Vita, 3DS and Wii.
