Flappy Bird creator Dong Nguyen is back in the limelight with his next mobile game dubbed Swing Copters.
Replicating Flappy Bird’s simple graphical style, the new game Swing Copters is all about a small character with a propeller on its head moving from side to side to avoid platforms and swinging hammers.
Just as Flappy Bird players were made to fly up or down, Swing Copters will only let players fly left or right, creating a zig-zagging flight pattern that makes it difficult for them to avoid each tier of swinging hammers.

Player will simply need to tap the screen to let the character will fly off in one direction; and then tap back the screen again to make him turn in another direction at a different angle.
According to mobile game reviews site TouchArcade, who bagged exclusive gameplay footage of the game, Swing Copters will be released for iOS and Android devices on 21 August as an ad-supported free download, with an option to pay £0.69 via in-app purchase to remove advertising from the game.

Creator Dong Nguyen had mysteriously pulled Flappy Bird from the App Store in February this year claiming that the game’s success had overrun his simple life. The alleged game, which reportedly earned Nguyen around $55,000 in ad revenue every day, had accrued more than 50 million downloads in total.
