Archos unveils 80 Helium 4G tablet and 3 smartphones

Ahead of MWC 2014 next week, Archos has revealed a slew of new devices – 80 Helium 4G tablet, 50c Oxygen, 64 Xenon, and the 40b Titanium smartphones.

The new Archos 80 Helium 4G tablet, latest addition to the recently introduced 4G Helium series, is powered by Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.

Archos claims 80 Helium 4G tablet to be the world’s first 8-inch 4G slate priced at under £230. The device boasts of an 8-inch display with 1,024 x 768p resolution and will be powered by a Quad Core A7 processor. Archos 80 Helium 4G tablet features a 5-megapixel rear camera, a 2-megapixel front camera and packs a 3,500mAh battery, 1GB RAM and 8GB of on-board storage.

Archos 50c Oxygen, the flagship device of the Archos smartphone range and the first octa-core smartphone of Archos, wraps a 5-inch HD IPS Screen (1,280 x 720) and a MediaTek Octa-Core processor clocked at 1.7GHz and Mali 450MP4 graphics. The device comes with a 2,000 mAh, an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 2-megapixel camera on the front, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage and packs support for HSPA+ and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity.

Archos 64 Xenon falls in the phablet category, sporting a 6.4-inch screen. The device will be running on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and quad-core MediaTek MT6582 CPU.

Archos 40b Titanium with a 4-inch  low 800 x 480 resolution screen, packs a 1.3 GHz A7 chip, a Mali 400 GPU and 512MB of RAM and is powered by Google’s Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

According to the reports, Archos will showcase its complete selection of 3G and 4G smartphones, tablets and connected objects range at MWC 2014.
