Rockstar clarifies doubts surrounding GTA Online hacked money spending, bounties
Rockstar has clarified doubts surrounding GTA Online hacked money after concerns were raised if users will be banned if they spend the hacked money gifted to them and if they were allowed to collect bounties that contained the illegitimate cash.
Rockstar Support has clarified through a tweet that users will not be banned if they were not directly involved in cheating the game. “@GJmitchE As stated, if you were not cheating/modding you have nothing to worry about. *PB”
The GTA Online developer had already confirmed earlier that it won’t be punishing gamers who received a large sum of in-game currency from a hacker. The latest clarification also gives a green signal to users that they can spend the money without getting banned.
“If you were not engaged in any willful cheating or exploiting yourself, you do not need to worry about getting caught up in our work to separate out cheaters from the rest of the population”, stated Rockstar in a support article.
Rockstar released a hot fix patch to “GTA 5” thereby disabling the modified lobbies and the company is planning to release more patches that will address further modding issues in GTA Online.
